Flea Norman Yeend has been creating professional models for display and television since 1981, and is responsible for our stop motion and real life and miniature modeling.
His skills in model making, illustration and animation have seen him work on a variety of television series, commercials, music videos, feature films, as well as various museum and theme park displays.
Norman has directed numerous television commercials for international and local agencies, picking up several awards along the way, including a Silver Lion at Cannes, and a Silver Clio in New York .
In 1993 he made the, ABC/Film Australia funded documentary, “Muttaburrasaurus; Life in Gondwana”, which was shown on Australian television several times and, not only received wide cinema release, it was also nominated for an AFI award.
Norman’s short stop motion animation film “Getting Ahead” also won Best Animated Short and Best Animation Craft at the 2012 Sydney Opera House Graphic Festival.
As well as stop-motion animation, Norman also utilises 2D, CGI, and even puppets, to bring scripts to life and create imaginative and memorable characters and stories.
